影响本科生进入985院校读研的因素分析——以北京地区为例

Influencing Factors for Students Who advanced to the Top-class Graduate Education of “Project 985 ” Universities in Beijing

研究生教育扩招以来,有更多的本科毕业生有机会进入研究生教育阶段进一步深造。研究运用实证研究法,分析本科生的个体先赋性特征、院校质量特征、学业参与效应、研究生入学方式等因素,检验以上哪些因素影响本科生进入985高校读研。研究发现,西部地区的学生进入985院校读研的概率更高;与农村生源相比,直辖市/省会城市生源进入985院校读研的概率较低;入学动机为被动顺应型的本科生较之学术导向型进入985院校读研的概率较大;与本科专业为理、工、农、文、史专业的学生相比,医学和管理学专业的学生更不会选择进入985院校读研,而经、教、法、哲专业的学生进入985院校读研的概率更高;在控制了其他条件不变的前提下,学生通过考研方式进入985院校读研的概率更高;本科院校质量越高的学生越有利于进入985院校读研;985院校的本科生更容易通过保研的方式进入985院校;本科成绩越高的学生更容易通过保研的方式进入985高校。

Since the expansion of postgraduate enrollment, a larger number of bachelors have accessed to the stage of postgraduate education. This essay adopts the approach of empirical research, analyzing bachelors ＇individual input characteristics, college quality characteristics, effects of academic involvement and postgraduate enrolling paths. It checks out which of the factors above influences bachelors＇ admission to 985 institutes＇ postgraduate programs.It is found that there is a higher possibility for students from the western part to be admitted to 985 institutes as postgraduate students. However, compared to students from the countryside, the possibility for students from municipalities and provincial capitals is much lower. Compared to bachelors who have an academic-oriented enrollment motivation, the possibility for passive students is much higher. And compared to students whose majors are science, engineering, agriculture, literature and history, students majoring in medical science and management have less interest in choosing to be postgraduates in 985 institutes, while the possibility for those majoring in economics, education, law and philosophy is higher. On the premise of keeping other conditions unchanged, the possibility for students who get admitted through the postgraduate entrance exam is higher. The more advanced the universities bachelors graduate from are, the more chances bachelors can gain to be admitted. It is easier for bachelors graduating from 985 institutes to be admitted to 985institutes＇ postgraduate programs without taking the postgraduate entrance exam. And it is also easier for bachelors whose academic records are better to be admitted to 985 institutes＇ postgraduate programs without taking the postgraduate entrance exam.
