Tolkien's "The Hobbit"and "Lord of the Rings"are created from his love for Norse mythology. He sought to invent an entire culture, including a myth and history pedigree, a system and a literary language, hoping to rebuild Britain epic legend. Tolkien believes in Catholic from his childhood, whether his creative expressed theme, or the path of fate of important positive characters, are potentially affected by Christianity and the"Bible"of narration prototype. Tolkien lived through two world wars, and his works had a lot of descriptions from his experience about the war, so the criticism of greediness, longing for peace is his eternal theme. Showing deep concern for human destiny, Tolkien's achievements in mythical value rediscovery and creative regeneration are outstanding. The movies adapted from his works also became milestone of movie technology. To speak good Chinese stories, we should seek inspiration from Tolkien's success.
