摘要
受教育部委托,高等学校大学外语教学指导委员会研究制定了《大学英语教学指南》。本文在阐述《大学英语教学指南》研制过程和基本原则的基础上,对大学英语课程价值、教学目标、课程体系、教学评价、教学方法与手段、教师发展等相关问题进行说明和解读,以期推动大学英语教学改革,提高大学英语教学质量。
The National Foreign Languages Teaching Advisory Board has been commissioned by the Ministry of Edu- cation to draw up the Guidelines on College English Teaching. This paper first reports the making of the document and its working principles, and then elucidates such issues as the value of college English, teaching objectives, course system, assessment, teaching methods and means, and faculty development, with a view to facilitating reform in col- lege English teaching and improving college English teaching quality.
