民国前期《申报》所载留学事件反响及评论

A study of Responses and Comments on the Events of Studying Abroad in Shun Pao during the Early Period of the Republic of China

民国前期,由于国内外时局动荡不安,有关留学的事件也频繁发生,这些留学事件与中国的社会发展、民族声誉和国家利益密切相关,因而引起了社会各阶层的广泛关注。作为当时社会影响力最大的报纸,《申报》将社会各界的反响与评论及时登载,广泛传播,不仅有利于社会大众更全面地了解事件真相,而且有助于推动事件的妥善解决,推动整个留学事务向更好的方向发展。

During the early period of the Republic of China, due to the turbulent situation at home and abroad, some inci dents concerning China＇s oversea students happened frequently. They were closely related to the social development, the na- tional prestige and interests of China, thus aroused widespread concern in all classes of society. As the most influential news- paper of that time, Shun Pao promptly published the responses and comments from all walks of life, which is not only condu- cive to understanding the truth more comprehensively, but also beneficial to solve the problems in an appropriate way and pro- mote the development of China＇s oversea students affairs towards a better direction.
