Nowadays, the tide of spirit of craftsman has swept back across the world. It's not good enough to analyze the literal meaning. The logic should in principle be illustrated from the perspectives of changing production mode and social requirement. It has been under the control of ajoint force including government, enterprises and individuals: renewed emphasis on manufacturing industry, social requirement in consumer society and self-employed way of living. The contemporary spirit of craftsman reflects the new requirements, which directly links with the new production and organization. Therefore, the different connotations of the spirit of craftsman are shown: innovation, individual autonomy and reality. The spirit of craftsman reflects the renaissance of spirit of practice in this age. It is our real ethos today as it will be in the future.
