摘要 Dear Editor,Protein import into chloroplasts is an essential process for plant survival. Numerous studies in recent years have revealed many facts about the components involved and mechanistic features, but have also turned up some controversies. Especially the composition and function of the Tic (translocon at the inner enve- lope of chloroplasts) complex(es) are vividly debated.
