This article combined roof shapes and decorative art of Chinese ancient buildings and design of knitted apparel, used lateral thinking to establish a relationship between design strategies of knitted apparel and ancient Chinese architectural paradigm. It discussed the application of roof shapes and decorative art in design of knitted apparel and provides a new thinking in design.
