In the format design of black and white books, designers follow the ways of characterization of ＂black＂, imagination of ＂white＂, hierarchy of ＂grey＂ and refinement of ＂line＂, which had been used in the creation of The Dream of Red Mansions, the pinnacle of Chinese classical novels.
