五四学人对桐城派的态度归因

摘要 桐城派在五四时期,并非抱残守缺,而是有自己的声音。五四学人面对桐城派心情复杂,一方面基本都受其滋养,另一方面又接受现代学术的熏陶,两者相互交融,呈现出现代学术对桐城派不同的态度。影响他们态度的原因,可归纳为两条:一是时代思潮,二是师承渊源。从五四学人对桐城派的态度,既可窥见桐城派在现代学术中的生存状态和精神样貌,也可发现现代学术发展的路径。 The Tongcheng School is not an anachronism but have their own voice in the May Fourth. Modem scholars have complex attitudes when faced with it. On the one hand they have been nourished, on the other hand they have been influenced by modern academic schools, which leads to their different attitudes towards the Tongcheng School. The reason can be divided into two: one is zeitgeist, the other is the teacher-student relation, which can indicate not only the survival and spiritual outlook of the Tongcheng School in modem academic world, but also the way for modem academic development.
