Study on GAO Bing-jun's academic thoughts based on the Book of Experience Gained in Treating External Sores

清代医家高秉钧所著《疡科心得集》,以《黄帝内经》作为其认识疾病、治疗疾病的指导思想,以"虽曰外科,实从内治"、"治病必求其本"为基本原则,根据外疡的不同发病部位,总结归纳不同病因,为临床辨证施治提供了指导。治疗中重视疾病的不同发展阶段,以托里、透散、和营为基本大法,同病异治、异病同治,强调经络在疡科辨证与治疗中的作用,灵活施治,疗效显著。

Experience Gained in Treating External Sores was written by GAO Bing-jun in the Qing Dynasty, which used the Huangdi Neijing as a guiding ideology in understanding diseases and treating diseases. This book is based on the principles of ‘though it＇s a surgical disease, actual treatment from the interior＇ and ‘treating disease according to its actual＇, which summarizes the different causes of occurrence according to the different location of external ulcers, provides guidance for differentiation of clinical surgical diseases. In the treatment, the author attaches great importance to different stages of development of the disease and takes the rules such as putting the inside out, penetrating and scattering, and reconciling camp blood as the fundamental rule. Besides, it emphasizes that ‘the same disease uses different treatments, and different diseases use the same treatment＇, and pays attention to the role of channels and collaterals in the differentiation and treatment of external sores, which achieves a significant effect.
