习近平立足党领导人民正在开展的伟大实践活动,对党治国理政和人类社会发展进行了深入思考,形成了具有鲜明实践特征的关于认识论思想的重要论述。习近平认为,通过理论学习可以提高理性思维能力和理论知识水平,增强分析和解决问题的本领;只有依靠调查研究,才能深入把握各种突出问题出现的原因、内在本质和发展趋势,有针对性地提出解决方案;只有坚持实事求是,不断推进实践基础上的理论创新,才能做到坚持真理和发展真理的有机统一。理论学习注重务虚,目的在于提高认识主体的理性认识能力;调查研究注重务实,目的在于使认识主体准确掌握事实真相和全貌;实事求是注重求真,目的在于认识和把握事物内部联系。作为人类认识活动的重要组成部分,理论学习、调查研究和实事求是统一于认识世界和改造世界的具体实践活动当中。

Based on the great practices being carried out by the Party and the people, Xi Jinping deeply pondered on the Party＇s governance, administration and the development of human society, and proposed his theory of knowledge with distinct practical characteristics. Xi maintains the following three viewpoints. Firstly, theoretical learning could not only enhance rational thinking and theoretical level, but also improve ability to analyze and solve problems. Secondly, it is only by the investigation can we grasp the reasons, internal essence, and development trend of various outstanding problems, and put forward effective solutions. Finally, unity of sticking to truth and developing truth needs adhering to seeking truth from facts and propelling theoretical inno- vation on the basis of practice. Theoretical learning lays emphasis on theoretical knowledge, aiming at the improvement of ration- al thinking ability. By contrast, investigation pays attention to practice in order to accurately grasp truth and have full view of things. And seeking truth from facts emphasizes pursuing the truth, aiming at mastering the internal relations of things. As the important components, theoretical learning, investigation and seeking truth from facts are unified in the practice of knowing and changing the world.
