Either by the standard of inflow or b y the standard of inward stock, the geo graphic distribution of foreign direct investment (FDI) in China is overwhelming ly uneven. The investment climate is the major reason causes the diversity of di stribution of FDI among cities in China. Through empirical research, the paper i nvestigates and evaluates investment climate and inner structures of 50 Chinese key cities, and classifies their styles of investment climate. Based on above fi ndings, the paper presents policy suggestions to improve the investment climate of city of Nanjing accordingly.
