Comparative Analysis on China and the US's Top Think Tanks and Its Enlightenment

[目的/意义]目前我国智库发展进入一个高潮,但智库总体水平还有待提高。因此,有必要分析中美两国智库发展中存在的差距,为中国智库建设提供经验借鉴。[方法/过程]本文根据《2015年全球智库报告》和《2015年中国智库报告》,选取中美两国48家顶尖智库,对智库的类型、运行模式、研究领域、服务方式和网络应用情况等方面进行了比较分析。[结果/结论]指出目前中国智库发展存在的不足,并在此基础上提出对中国智库建设的4点启示,认为中国智库应该从优化智库发展结构、改善智库运行模式、改革智库研究领域和加强智库宣传等方面进行发展完善。

[Purpose/significance] At present, the development of China think tanks has entered a climax, butthe overall level of think tanks should be improved. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the gaps of think tanks’development that exist in the United States and China, and provide experience for the Chinese think tanks’construction. [Method/process] According to 2015 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report and 2015 ChinaThink Tank Report, we selected the top 48 think tanks in China and the US. Then, we made a comparative analysisin terms of the type, the operation mode, the research field, the service mode and network applications of thinktanks. At last, we pointed out the insufficiency of Chinese think tanks. [Result/conclusion] On this basis, we putforward four suggestions for Chinese think tank construction: the Chinese think tank should be the optimizationof its development structure, improve the operation mode, ameliorate the research reform and strengthen thepropaganda to promote its development.
