Textual Criticism of “Banca” and “Banci”

"般擦""般次"都在《续资治通鉴长编》中频繁出现。经考证,"般擦""般次"意义相近,一是指少数民族对中原的贡物,二是指出使中原王朝的使节;"般次"始见于唐朝,"般擦"则是清代编纂《四库全书》时候对"般次"的改译,两个词在文献中同时使用是由于回改不完全,实际上指同一个事物。

“Banca”and“Banci”frequently appeared in the literature of XU ZI ZHI TONG JIAN CHANG BIAN. On the basis ofhistorical materials and careful research, this paper draws the conclusion that“Banca”and“Banci”share the same meanings, and“Banci”is its true colors,while“Banca”is a name of creative translation in Qing Dynasty.
