摘要
目前,国内学者关于爱尔兰的文化研究主要集中在爱尔兰文化政策研究、爱尔兰民族身份研究、爱尔兰神话传统研究等方面,而对当代爱尔兰女性的身份困境研究相对较少。由于爱尔兰社会长期强调女性以家庭为中心的价值理念,这种根深蒂固、世代相传的传统价值观使当代爱尔兰女性生活在以男权为中心的社会和家庭边缘。本文通过对当代爱尔兰著名女剧作玛丽娜o卡尔的悲剧《梅》中女主角梅的身份研究,从梅的"房中天使"身份,沉重的婚姻枷锁和挑战男性权威、重建身份三个方面揭示当代爱尔兰女性在爱尔兰父权主义和天主教权威双重影响下的他者地位和身份困境。
The current research on the Irish culture in China mainly focuses on the Irish cultural policy,the Irish national identity and Irish folklore and myth traditions,but the research on the contemporary Irish women identity should be given more attention.The Irish women have been greatly influenced by the deeply rooted social traditions and family values that stress the importance of women's role as“angle in the house?They have accepted the marginalized identity in the patriarchal Irish social and family life for a long time.By analyzing Mai5s identity in The Mai written by the contemporary Irish playwright Marina Cair,this essay attempts to reveal the Otherness and identity crisis of the contemporary Irish women in the patriarchal Irish society influenced by the Catholic authority.
