This article reveals the historical background, epochal significance and theoretical origin of the strategic thinking on rural revitalization strategy. On the basis of an in-depth explanation of its main content and innovation, it puts forward the realization path. The study shows that the strategic thinking on rural revitalization is the extension of the historical thinking on rural revitalization in the new stage, and meanwhile, it has an obvious historical leap. The strategic thinking on rural revitalization is the inheritance and development of Marxist thought on rural and urban integration and on rural development of Chinese Communists in the past. The basic goal of rural rejuvenation is agricultural and rural modernization, and the main task is to construct modern industrial system, production system and management system at the levels of agricultural and rural development. There are many innovations in the strategic thinking on rural revitalization. For example, the urban-rural relations in the new era are positioned scientifically as integrated development, and the modernization of agriculture and rural areas is proposed for the first time. The realization of the rural revitalization strategy is a long-term process. It is necessary to deepen the comprehensive reform of rural areas on the basis of adhering to the new concept of development, to establish a unified factor market between urban and rural areas, to innovatively revitalize rural industries, to establish and improve a unified public service system between urban and rural areas, so as to realize rural revitalization in an all-round way.
