摘要
在《龙子》中,赛珍珠塑造了吃苦耐劳、向往和平的中国人形象,特别是塑造了独立果敢的新式女性形象。这些形象,是作者将在中国生活时熟悉的人物形象纳入美国文化语境,再融入自己对中国抗日战争的价值判断进行选择、融合和自解的产物。
Pearl S.Buck in Dragon Seed created the image of hard-working Chinese with great courage and wit and in pursuit of peace,especially the new image of Chinese independent and decisive women.Thus we can see that Pearl S.Buck created such a kind of Chinese image by setting the familiar Chinese farmers into the context of American context combined with her understanding and value judgement and personal interpretation about the anti-Japanese war.
