In recent years,the transformation of scholarly publishing of university press is a hot topic in the field of publishing studies at home and abroad.This article explores the transformation trend of digital scholarly publishing of university presses in the UK from three aspects:digital content resource,digital academic publishing platform and open access publishing.In terms of content resources,university presses pay attention to the development and service of digital products,use the method of digital scholarly content production and knowledge organization,and use metadata and knowledge linking to increase the discoverability of digital scholarly resources.In terms of platform services,university presses have built and optimized a series of digital scholarly publishing platforms.These platforms have agglomeration effect,and have formed modular production network and digital scholarly publishing value net.In terms of scholarly communication,university presses advocate open access publishing and adopt the models of gold open access and green open access.University presses have formed business models such as author payment,library subsidy and publishing subsidy on the open-access monograph publishing.In the new era of user-driven,China’s university presses should learn from the experience of the transformation of digital scholarly publishing of university presses in the UK,establish digital scholarly publishing platform,and carry out scholarly knowledge services.
