The original intention that the education authorities announce the employment rate of colleges and universities graduates is to better promote the connection between colleges and universities and the society, and improve the quality of education and teaching. However, with the increasingly serious employment situation of colleges universities graduates, the employment rate has evolved into an important indicator to evaluate the quality of higher education, which has led to the one-sided pursuit of employment rate by colleges and universities stakeholders, but it is not conducive to the improvement of the quality of higher education. This is a kind of misplaced evaluation of the quality of colleges and universities education. On the one hand, the tendency of strong instrumental rationality is generally possessed by different stakeholders in colleges and universities. On the other hand, the fuzzy confusion between the education market and the labor market undoubtedly contributes to jointly strengthen and solidify this kind of evaluation. It is necessary to further clarify the relationship between the education market and the labor market in theory and help the internal and external stakeholders in universities to weaken the prejudice of instrumental rationality, and then the evaluation of higher education quality can be effectively improved.
