“文理交融”教育思想探源

On the Origin of the Educational Thought of “Integration of Arts and Science”

摘要 “文理交融”教育是高等学校“通识教育”的一种形式。在当前提倡应用教育和职业教育的形势下,“文理交融”教育的意义显得尤为突出高等教育突出的特点在于专业学科教育,这种教育有一个天然的缺陷就是容易把人的思维限制在某一狭小的领域。“文理交融”的前身——蔡元培先生的“融通文理”,以及孙小礼教授的“文理交融”思想,皆指引当下高等教育打破学科壁垒,实现交叉融合,进而提高高等教育的人才培养质量,实现“全人”教育目标。 "Integration of arts and science" education is a form of "general education" in colleges and universities. Under the current situation of advocating applied education and vocational education, the significance of "integration of arts and science" education is particularly prominent.A natural flaw of higher education is that it is easy to limit people’s thinking to a certain narrow field, because of its professional disciplines education. Cai Yuanpei’s "arts-science integration", the predecessor of " integration of arts and science",and professor Sun Xiaoli’s " integration of arts and science " thoughts, will guide us to break down the barriers of disciplines in current higher education, to achieve cross integration,as well as to improve the quality of personnel training in higher education, and finally achieve the goal of "all-round" education.
