从“书的图书馆”到“人的图书馆”——赫尔辛基中央图书馆给予我们的启示

From “Library for Books” to “Library for People”——Enlightenment from Helsinki Central Library

世纪之交,图书馆事业进入转型阶段,全球开始涌现出一大批探索未来发展的创新图书馆及项目,它们在对图书馆整体发展起到引领和示范作用的同时,推动了从“书的图书馆”向“人的图书馆”的转型。所谓“人的图书馆”,在理念上,提倡以人为本,以满足人对信息的需要为出发点;在服务上,开展与全媒体时代相适应的各类信息和知识服务;在管理上,更加注重整体效益、品牌营销和协调合作。本文从理念、服务和管理三大变革对我国图书馆事业发展的影响出发,阐述图书馆工作的重心从“解决藏用矛盾为主”向“以人为本”理念转化的过程,提出要进一步推动图书馆事业从重数量向重质量、从重投入向重效益的方向发展,更加重视图书馆的全媒体服务和多元素养教育等建议。

At the turn of the century, library cause has entered into a phase of transformation. A multitude of innovative libraries and projects aiming to explore future development have sprung up around the world, which led and set an example for integral development for libraries, and at the same time pushed the transformation from “library for books” to “library for people”. The so-called “library for people” advocates “people foremost” in terms of concept and sets meeting the needs of people for information as starting point;conducts all kinds of information and knowledge services appropriate for all-media era in terms of service;pays more attention to overall efficiency, brand marketing and coordinated cooperation in terms of management.This paper starts from the influences of three aspects of transformation in concept, service and management to the development of library cause, expounds the course of a transformation of the priority of library work from “taking solving conflict between collecting and utilizing as the principal thing” to the concept of “people foremost”, puts forward some suggestions such as that it is necessary to promote the transformation of library cause from focusing on quantity to quality and input to benefit, and pays more attention to all-media service and multi?attainment education in the library.
