Mencius'devoted thought has important value and significance,and can promote the innovation and development of contemporary moral education model.This paper will briefly analyze the academic background and basic connotation of Mencius'devoted thought,and discuss the moral education theory of Mencius'devoted thought,which mainly includes three aspects:the basis of moral education,the subject of moral education and the method of moral education.Based on the above analysis,it is pointed out that Mencius'inspiration to contemporary moral education is aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of contemporary ideological and moral education.
