With the resurge of Asia in the world history and global pattern, Asia has not only become the object of people’s ideology and research, but also a methodology for people to reflect on themselves, their nation, their country, region, the world and its history. What kind of questions can "Asia as a Method" raise on human’s ideology activities and their histories, what kind of possibilities can it offer, these are some of the issues that Asia needs to face on its way to resurge. This essay recounts the raising process of "Asia as a Method" and its course of ideology, summarizes its main ideology problems and ideology space, and makes extensive thoughts on the ideological possibility of this methodology in the field of cinematic research.
