摘要
Dear Editor,Macrobiomolecules such as proteins,RNA and DNA can coalesce into liquid-like condensates via liquid-liquid phase separation(LLPS)(Shin and Brangwynne,2017;Banani et al.,2017;Wang and Zhang,2019).Phase-separated condensates, also called bodies, granules or membraneless compartments, have many functions, including temporal and spatial control of signaling and biochemical reactions, storage of essential cytoplasmic components for cell survival under stress conditions, and triaging of toxic proteins for degradation(Shin and Brangwynne,2017;Banani et al.,2017;Wang and Zhang,2019).
