塔西北与华南地区晚奥陶世碳酸盐岩(含生物碎屑)显微图像数据集 被引量:1

摘要 晚奥陶世是漫长的地质历史时期中至关重要的一段时期,在此期间沉积的碳酸盐岩记录了地球表生环境的变化,为奥陶纪末生物灭绝事件的研究奠定了基础。本研究利用生物偏光显微镜对研究区晚奥陶世碳酸盐岩薄片图像进行采集鉴定。研究区包括塔西北柯坪大湾沟及华南地区宜昌普溪河剖面,涉及的地层时代包括桑比阶与凯迪阶,鉴定内容为生物碎屑种类,样品间距分别为0.5-2 m与0.2-0.3 m。本研究数据可与其他地区晚奥陶纪研究数据进行结合与对比,为后续奥陶纪古海洋、古环境研究补充更加详实的数据,以及为建立晚奥陶世古海洋沉积碳酸盐岩的空间变化模式提供数据支撑。 The Late Ordovician is a crucial period in geological history,during which deposited carbonates recorded the changes of the earth’s environment,providing a foundation for studies of the extinction events at the end of Ordovician.In this research,we collected polarized microscope images of the Late Ordovician carbonate rock thin sections and,on the basis of that,identified the fossil fragment contents.The research had a geographical scope of Kelpin in northwestern Tarim and Yichang in South China and covered a stratigraphic range from the Sandbian to the Katian,with sampling intervals of 0.5–2 m in the Tarim and 0.2–0.3 m in South China,respectively.The dataset can be used in comparative analyses when used in combination with those from other regions,which would add to subsequent studies on the paleoceanography and paleoenvironments of the Ordovician,and provide data support for building the spatial variation model of carbonate rocks deposited during the late Ordovician.
