Loitering attack missile has become an important direction for the development of precision strike weapons in the future due to its unique patrol function and integrated ability of reconnaissance and strike. In this paper,the operational functions and main technical indicators of several typical foreign loitering attack missiles are introduced. Aiming at the influence of the environment of reef islands areas on the operational use of precision attack weapons,the application strategies of loitering attack missile in reef islands areas attack-defense confrontation is discussed. And on the basis of the military requirement of loitering attack missile in the future sea battlefield environment,the key technologies of loitering attack missiles are analyzed. Finally the future development trend prospected in order to provide relevant thinking and suggestions for the technical development and operational use of domestic loitering attack missiles.
