摘要
唐·德里罗的短篇小说集《天使埃斯梅拉达九个故事》跨越其写作生涯30余年,小说内容涵盖了战争灾难、城市灾难及自然灾难三个方面,展示了作者强烈的生态危机意识。唐·德里罗向往和平世界,寻求生态正义,警示人类正视自然生态,通过揭露市民的生存困境和动物的生存危机来观照美与善,提倡生态整体主义,反对人类中心主义,体现对生命的尊重,肯定自然的内在价值。
Don Delillo′s short story collection Esmeralda the Angel:Nine Stories spans 30 years of his writing career.The novel covers three aspects of war disaster,urban disaster and natural disaster,all of which demonstrate his strong awareness of ecological crisis.Don Delillo longs for a peaceful world,seeks for ecological justice,warns human beings to face up to natural ecology,observes beauty and goodness by exposing the survival plight of citizens and the survival crisis of animals,advocates ecological holism,opposes anthropocentrism,embodies respect for life,and affirms the intrinsic value of nature.
