Objective To investigate the effect of high-protein,lowcarbohydrate diet combined with WeChat follow-up management in overweight/obese patients. Methods From March 2017 to December 2019,150 overweight/obese patients with outpatient income from the department of nutrition of our hospital were selected, and all patients were treated with high-protein and low-carbohydrate diet combined with WeChat followup management, and the body parameters, metabolic function indexes, body mass and body fat ratio were observed and compared. Results After 3 months of intervention, all the parameters[waist circ-umference(WC),body fat mass(BFM),visceral fat area(VFA),body mass index(BMI)],the indexes of metabolic function[triacylglycerol(TG),total cholesterol(TC)and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)],body mass, body fat ratio(BFR)were all lower than those before the intervention, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion High-protein low-carbohydrate diet combined with WeChat follow-up management in overweight/obese patients can promote the maximum improvement of waist circumference, body mass index, body fat, visceral fat area, triacylglycerol, total cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, body mass, and body fat ratio.
