Rong's Corporate Culture and the Chinese Origin of the World Social Responsibility Movement

近代中国民族工商业是促进近代中国经济社会转型的进步力量,其兴起和发展在促进中国经济社会现代转型中发挥了积极作用。百年荣氏企业的经营实践是民族工商业实业兴邦的典范,彰显了荣氏三代企业家切实履行社会责任、热心社会公益事业的爱国精神。近代中国民族工商业企业兴办社会公益事业的实践是对传统中华文化优秀美德的传承和弘扬,也是近代中国经济社会条件下中华传统文化现代转型的重要形式,与世界企业社会责任运动所倡导的价值取向高度一致,是世界企业社会责任运动的中国渊源。后疫情时代,中国企业应当将“人类命运共同体”理念融入履行社会责任的公益实践,为切实推进“人类命运共同体”的构建开辟新的领域。

Modern Chinese national industry and commerce is a progressive force to promote the economic and social transformation of modern China,and its rise and development has played a positive role in promoting the modern transformation of China's economy and society.Based on the business practice of Rong's 100-year-old national industrial and commercial enterprises,this paper highlights the patriotic spirit of the three generations of Rong's entrepreneurs who have earnestly fulfilled their social responsibilities and are enthusiastic about social welfare undertakings.The practice of establishing social public welfare undertakings in modern China's national industrial and commercial enterprises is not only the inheritance and promotion of the excellent virtues of traditional Chinese culture,but also an important form of modern transformation of Chinese traditional culture under the economic and social conditions of modern China.It is highly consistent with the value orientation advocated by the world corporate social responsibility movement,and is the Chinese origin of the world corporate social responsibility movement.In the post-epidemic era,Chinese enterprises should integrate the concept of“community of human destiny”into the public welfare practice of fulfilling social responsibility,so as to open up a new field for the construction of“community of human destiny”.
