云贵高原坝子社会研究的方法与问题

Methods and Problems of Research on Bazi Society in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau

坝子是区域性的政治、经济中心,也是云贵高原与高地东南亚交通体系的枢纽。文章试图从当地人群的社会关系和文化观念的角度来理解"坝子"的含义,以"坝子"地理空间以及所连接的社会关系、文化意义为研究的切入点,探究多山环境下中国西南山区社会的某些显著特性,以此回应长期以来学术界对中国西南山区和高地东南亚研究相关的理论问题。

Bazi(mountain basin or river valley plain in Yunnan and Guizhou Provinces)usually serves as the political and economic center of a specific region,which makes it the hub in the transportation sys-tem linking the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and the highlands in Southeast Asia.This paper attempts to un-derstand the connotation of"Bazi"from the perspective of the social relations and cultural concepts of the local people;and based on the geographical space of"Bazi"along with the relevant social relations and cul-tural significance,the paper also explores the remarkable characteristics of the mountainous society in southwest China.In this way,it responds to the long-term discussion in academic circles on the theoretical issues related to the study of mountainous areas in southwestern China and highlands in Southeast Asia.
