The construction of petrochemical enterprises has made outstanding contributions to the growing social and economic development.As one of the world’s main energy sources,the development of the petrochemical industry is vital to human life and survival.In recent years,the environmental management core of petrochemical construction has realized the transformation from“environmental impact assessment system”to“pollutant discharge permit system”.According to China’s actual economic and environmental conditions,this paper expounds the important role of petrochemical industry in economic development,and strengthens environmental protection measures in production.
