Fluorescent whitening agent is a colorless fluorescent dye that can excite blue and violet light under the irradiation of ultraviolet light, which complements the yellow on the substrate and has a whitening effect. Fluorescent brighteners are harmful to human health. Therefore, the rapid and efficient detection method of fluorescent brighteners has become a hot spot in the field of detection technology. This article reviews the research progress of fluorescent whitening agent detection methods, introduces various detection methods of fluorescent whitening agent, and discusses the existing problems in the field of fluorescent whitening agent detection technology and the future development direction.
