On Building the First-Class Discipline of Law at Universities and Colleges of Political Science and Law in China

高等政法院校法学一流学科的建设要回归到新时代高素质人才培养这一根本任务上来。中华人民共和国成立以来,“五院四系”服务法学教育经住了历史的考验,在新时期应作为法学一流学科建设单位,继续发挥行业的标杆和引领作用。法学一流学科的建设需要构建具有中国特色的法学学科体系,以研究和解决国家及社会需要的重大问题为导向。目前,无论是国际环境变化还是国内战略发展,都对法学建设提出了新的要求。“五院四系”在立足深厚法学教育基础,发展各自优势特色学科的同时,要紧跟时代潮流,积极推动法学与其他学科的交叉融合,开创新兴学科以回应社会治理的需求。

The building of the first-class discipline of law at universities and colleges of political science and law in China should return to the essential task—the cultivation of high-quality legal talent in the new era.Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the"Five Universities and Four Departments"have been serving legal education in China and they have withstood the test of history.In the new era,as the working units of building the first-class discipline of law,the universities and colleges continue to play a leading role in the discipline.Building the first-class discipline of law requires the construction of a with Chinese characteristics for the discipline of law,guiding by the orientation of researching and solving major issues that are required by the state and society.At present,both the changes in the international environment and the domestic development have put forward new requirements for the construction of the discipline of law.The "Five Universities and Four Departments",based on a deep legal education foundation and developing their respective specialties and characteristic disciplines,must closely follow the trend of the times,actively promote the inter-disciplinary development between law and other disciplines,and create new disciplines to respond to the actual demand of social governance.
