This paper mainly focuses on how to do a good job in animal husbandry and veterinary animal epidemic prevention work at the grass-roots level,and combined with the importance of epidemic prevention work,expounds the problems existing in animal epidemic prevention work at the grass-roots level,such as the shortage of animal epidemic prevention personnel and backward technical equipment,insufficient attention to epidemic prevention,imperfect infrastructure and epidemic prevention and control system and so on,and then put forward several practical measures,such as improving animal epidemic prevention mechanism,strengthening infrastructure construction,strengthening information communication,improving the quality of epidemic prevention staff,to ensure the smooth development of animal epidemic prevention work at the grass-roots level of animal husbandry and veterinary to enhance the efficiency of the work.
