摘要
教会医院是西方教会借医传教出现的特有产物。它们从中国最早的通商口岸——沿海地区开始,逐渐向内陆地区蔓延,开枝散叶。通过研究这些教会医院的历史兴衰,可以侧面反映近代以来,中国卫生医疗事业的发展历程,了解西医在植根中国的过程中,在哪些方面对中国社会产生重大影响。
Missionary hospital is a unique product of western missionary work through medicine.They started from Chinese coastal areas,the earliest trading ports,and gradually spread to inland areas.By studying the historical rise and fall of these missionary hospitals,this article presents the development of Chinese health and medical undertakings in modern times,and explains the important influence of western medicine on Chinese society in the process of taking root in China.
