What matters in a concept is the idea.We need vibrant concepts to guide the deepening of curriculum reform. At present, there are still inaccuracies in the use of concepts and unclear relationships between concepts in the curriculum reform. So it is necessary to clarify the concepts and implications of curriculum reform to avoid misleading. In the implementation of the national curriculum, the notion of"high-quality implementation of the national curriculum"should be employed,and"school-based implementation of the national curriculum"should be used under this premise. In the value coordinates of the curriculum, there is no distinction between major and minor subject curriculum, and the concept of"major"and"minor"should be firmly abandoned, and the marginal curriculum should be allowed to come to the center."Teach as much as possible"is the basic requirement of teaching, but also has a specific context of use.We should not emphasize its link to the test, nor should we dismiss"less teaching and more learning",which is still a direction of teaching reform.Teachers are expected to stand in the shoes of children and play the role of children. However, they should be guided by the principle of"children as teachers"and play a proper role of promotion and leadership, while opposing and preventing extreme child centeredness. There are still some other concepts that could be discussed further.
