放电等离子烧结制备高强度及高硬度ATZ陶瓷 被引量:1

Preparation of ATZ Ceramics with High Strength and Hardness by Spark Plasma Sintering

摘要 20 wt.%Al_(2)O_(3)与80 wt.%3Y-ZrO_(2)复合陶瓷(ATZ陶瓷)具有优异的室温与高温力学性能以及良好的抗水热老化性能。通过放电等离子烧结制备出具有超高强度以及高硬度的ATZ陶瓷,深入研究了其致密化过程和强韧化机理。结果表明,在力电耦合作用下,放电等离子烧结制备的高性能ATZ陶瓷具有极少的缺陷,经过工艺优化后弯曲强度和维氏硬度分别高达1767 MPa和14.5 GPa,最佳烧结温度为1450℃,在该温度下烧结材料的平均晶粒尺寸为298 nm,透射扫描电镜(TEM)可观察到高密度特殊半共格晶界或共格晶界结构,这种特殊晶界结构以及晶粒细小是ATZ陶瓷超高强度以及高硬度的重要原因。 ATZ ceramics(20 wt.%Al_(2)O_(3)+80 wt.%3Y-ZrO_(2))have excellent room temperature mechanical strength,high temperature mechanical properties and strong hydrothermal aging resistance.ATZ ceramics with high strength and hardness were prepared by using spark plasma sintering.The densification process and strengthening and toughening mechanism were deeply studied.The ATZ ceramics have few defects due to the action of the pressure and electricity.The optimized sample,with sintering temperature of 1450℃and grain size of 298 nm,exhibited bending strength and Vickers hardness of as high as 1767 MPa and 14.5 GPa,respectively.Both high-density semi-coherent grain boundary and coherent grain boundary were observed,according to the transmission electron microscopy(TEM)images.The special grain boundary structure and fine grain are responsible for the high strength and high hardness of the ATZ ceramics.
