环形叙事结构的生成、裂隙及形式表意——以电影《暴雨将至》为例

The Formation,Gap and Meaning of Ring-like Narrative Structure:The Case of the Film Before the Rain

本文以电影《暴雨将至》为例,参照叙事学理论从三个方面探讨了环形叙事结构的相关问题。首先,环形叙事的核心特征是文本的开头和结尾紧密相接,因而在时间顺序、因果逻辑上实现了对传统线性叙事的突破,但这更多地只是在叙事话语层面的运用,而非对现实时间的反叛;其次,由于该结构仍然遵照现实时间的逻辑基础,因此可以被还原为线性时间结构,这表明在以叙事话语构造出的环形结构中存在着时间裂隙,这是一个非闭合的圆环;最后,本文初步区分了环形结构的两种不同类型,同时证明环形结构不仅是形式上的创新,而且还具有“循环”这一重要表意。

Taking the film Before the Rain as an example,this paper discusses the issues related to the ring-like narrative structure from three aspects.First of all,the core feature of ring-like structure is that the beginning and end of the text are closely connected,so it has achieved a breakthrough over the traditional linear narrative in terms of temporal order and causal logic,but it is more of an application of narrative discourse than a rebellion against the real time.Secondly,since the structure still conforms to the logical basis of real time,it can be reduced to a linear time structure,which indicates that there is a time gap in the ring-like structure constructed by narrative discourse,which is a non-closed circle.Finally,this paper distinguishes two different types of ring-like structure,and proves that it is not only a formal innovation,but also has the important meaning of expressing the idea of“circulation”.
