Since the end of the Second World War, with the rapid development of scientific and technological innovation, the most dramatic, rapid and universal social changes have taken place all over the world. As a famous British Marxist historian, Eric Hobsbawm has made a historical and in-depth analysis of the social changes that have taken place around the world since 1945 from the perspective of global history and new social history. In the contemporary world, this social change is mainly manifested in the following aspects: the gradual disappearance of traditional small-scale peasant economy, the popularization of secondary and higher education, the partial ambiguity of working class consciousness and the change of the traditional role of women. These changes are global and historic, not only difficult to reverse, but also ongoing.
