Canadian female writer Alice Munro is good at feminist writing. In her works, being trapped and leaving is a common theme. Escaping the shackles of being trapped, women embark on a journey of active social and spiritual exploration. The female exploration in Munro’s works bears witness to the limitation of patriarchy on female exploration,and at the same time profoundly presents the exploration mode and path different from that of male protagonists in traditional exploration subject under the influence of female unique temperament and behavior pattern. This article mainly discusses the unique exploration of women from the perspective of Munro’s gentle feminism through the two works Escape and Who Do You Think You Are.
