高质量发展是新时代我国高等教育的必然选择,是由规模发展向质量提升的重大转变,是建设高等教育强国、实现高等教育现代化的必然之举。民族地区高等教育高质量发展具有深刻的时代意蕴,对高校激发办学活力、提升创新力和增强核心竞争力都具有重要意义。长期以来,由于受到地理环境、经济发展、人口结构等各种因素的影响,民族地区高等教育在发展过程中遇到了相当多的困难,在办学理念、师资队伍和办学经费等方面存在诸多问题。为顺应当今时代发展的需求,民族地区高等教育应主动融入高质量发展的主旋律,充分发掘自身优势,以“五新”为发力点,走出一条符合民族地区实际的高质量发展之路。

High-quality development is an inevitable choice for the higher education in China in the new era,also a significant change from scale-oriented development to quality improvement,and a necessary move to build a powerful country in higher education and realize modernization of higher education.The high-quality develop⁃ment of the higher education in ethnic areas has profound implications of the times,and is of great significance to the colleges and universities in the areas in stimulating their vitality,enhancing their innovation and strengthen⁃ing their core competitiveness.For a long time,due to the influence of various factors such as geographical envi⁃ronment,economic development and population structure,the higher education in ethnic areas has encountered many difficulties in the process of their development,and there are many problems in their concept of school run⁃ning,teaching staff,school funding and so on.In order to meet the needs of today's development,higher educa⁃tion in ethnic areas should be active in achieving its high-quality development,fully exploring its own advantag⁃es,and taking"Five New"as the starting point to walk out of a high-quality development path in line with the re⁃ality of the ethnic areas.
