A Study of Manichaean Instrumental Music and the Etymology of"Dala"

摩尼教在3世纪创教于波斯,在中古时期活跃于丝绸之路。文章以德国收藏的出土于吐鲁番及其周边地区的摩尼教中古伊朗语写本和西域图像资料为核心,考察摩尼教的代表性乐器;并以这批资料为切入点,借助其提供的音韵学证据,结合考古学、语言学相关成果,厘清细节,探讨丝绸之路上乐器的东西交流。

Manichaeism,established in Persia during the third century AD,exerted its influence along the Silk Road throughout the medieval era.This study specifically concentrates on the Manichaean Middle Iranian manuscripts found within the Berlin Turfan Collection and examines the accompanying visual materials originating from the Western Region.The primary objective is to investigate the prominent musical instruments present within these artifacts and explore the patterns of musical instrument exchange that transpired along the Silk Road.
