二○○一年底广东省科技图书馆新馆落成 ,也恰逢中国已成为世贸组织的正式成员。由于知识产权保护问题 ,给图书馆的发展带来始料不及的影响 ,作为华南地区科技文献的支撑保障单位———广东省科技图书馆面对的是“惟有创新是坦途”。

Just as China became the regular member of the World Trade Organization in 2001,the new building of the Guangdong Proincial Library of Science and Technology was completed.Great and unexpected influence has been brought upon the development of library by the issue of copyright protection.The best solution for the Guangdong Provincial Library of Science and Technology,as the supporting and ensuring unit of scientific literature in South China,is to innovate itself.
