海明威的男权思想——从三篇名作中的女性形象分析

Male Chauvinism reflected from heroines in Hemingway's Three Famous Short Novels

结合海明威本人的经历,该文对《文学导论》所选的三篇海明威名作中的女性形象进行分析,发现这三篇小说中女主人公性格、年龄各不相同,但她们的命运却殊途同归—遭受男权思想的压迫。该文认为塑造了一系列"硬汉"形象的海明威非常擅长描写女性人物形象,但是他所塑造的女性人物却是笼罩在他个人浓厚的男权主义思想下的。

This paper analyzes three female images in the famous novels written by Hemingway.It finds that although the three ladies are different in characters and ages,they almost suffer the similar destiny — oppressed by the Male Chauvinism from their companions.This pa per finds that Hemingway,who has created a series of characters with the quality of masculinity,actually has also been good at describing fe male images.However,he has always molded these heroines with his strong consciousness of Male Chauvinism.
