Greek and Roman mythology, as one of the source of western culture, has significant impacts on almost every aspect of western culture, especially the English language itself. There is a vase amount of English words originating from Greek Mythol-ogy, even some professional fields, such as geography, flora, psychology, medicine and so on. As for those professional words, it is very hard to grasp the underlying meanings of the English words without an understanding of Greek Mythology, not alone mem-orizing and applying them in real settings. This paper categorizes and exemplifies vocabulary with Greek Mythology origin, aim-ing to explore the influence of Greek Mythology on English vocabulary in those fields.
