Focusing on spiritual Eco-criticism Theory——Taking Stephen King's Pet Semataryas an example

作为生态学的一个分支,精神生态学的影响与日俱增,但是精神生态批评在恐怖小说的范畴内缺席已久。在精神生态视域下可以发现斯蒂芬·金的小说《宠物公墓》以理性和生存作为哲学尺度,用生态隐喻对如何契合人与自我的关系进行了追问。只有调整自我内在价值系统、坚守内心理性意识,人类才能构建人与自我的和谐关系,进而达成精神生态平衡。从精神生态的理论高度对小说进行梳理和研究,意味着可以激活文本的另外一个阐释空间,为生态批评提供新的素材。

Spiritual ecology,as a branch of ecology,is growing more and more important,but spiritual eco-criticism has not been applied in horror fiction yet.The writer explores reason consciousness and human existence within philosophical ideas in Pet Sematary.Analyzing the textual metaphor from the spiritual eco-criticism perspective,the paper focuses on how to establish the relation between man and self.Adjusting intrinsic value system and maintaining inner reason consciousness,human beings can achieve the harmonious relation between man and self and the balance of spiritual ecology.Making a research into the novel from spiritual eco-criticism opens up a fresh interpretation space and provides new material for ecocriticism.
