我国正式加入世界贸易组织后 ,对外开放进一步扩大 ,纳入服务贸易范畴的教育事业特别是高等教育面临着更加激烈的国际竞争。地方工科院校面临着机遇和挑战 ,为此 ,应抓住机遇 ,坚持特色办学 ,加快发展。

The article analyzed the opportunities and challenges with which local engineering colleges would face after China had joined the WTO. The authors put forward that local engineering colleges should grab the opportunities, insist on the way of character of running, quicken the tempo of development.
