It was found in practice that the accuracy of the determination of the content of caproic acid in caproic acid bacteria solu-tion by721type spectrophotometer—colorimetry was unsatisfactory.Different determination methods were compared and the best one was chromatography after the distillation of caproic acid bacteria solution.The method was of high accuracy and could effectively avoid the errors.(Tran.by YUE Yang)
