With the improved information system, the enterprise data security is becoming more important. Therefore, the attention would be focused on the data security from the information system. To make real-time backup of data and choose proper backup method or strategy is an important prerequisite to ensuring the data security and restore. This paper describes the fundamentals of the backup and restore of ORACLE database and the backup method usually adopted.
