玄应《一切经音义》中的“假借”、“借字”

唐释玄应《一切经音义》有一些明确注明“假借”、“借字”的语言材料。玄应所谓“假借”、“借字”的内涵并无本质的不同。玄应所谓假借,就是今人眼里的通假,亦有个别例外。通假是古人所谓假借的当然内容。

There are some language materials in The Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka compiled by Xuan Ying. They are marked Jiajie and Jiezi definitely. In Xuan Ying' s consideration, there is no difference between the natures of this two. In fact, Jiajie named by Xuan Ying is general Tongjia(通假)- Of course, there are some exceptions, too. Jiajie certainly includes Tongjia in the Ancient's consideration.
